GIRL MISSING AFTER CRASH! MYSTERY OVER CAR
|
Police are today asking for witnesses to
a car crash just outside Little Halton last night. Concern
has also been made about the whereabouts
of Michelle Rogers 18, the owner
of the
vehicle. Her fiancé Paul believes
she could
be seriously injured and
is appealing
for anyone to come forward who may have seen her earlier
on in the day or night.
It is not known why she was in
|
this vicinity as she was
meant to be visiting relatives
in York. A police spokesman stated he found it hard
to believe that someone could survive a crash like this.
Due to skid marks the car appears to have veered of
f the road and down an embankment before hitting a telegraph
pole.
If anyone has any information please call
Morton police incident desk.

SIMILARITIES WITH 28TH JULY
ACCIDENT 3 STILL MISSING
Police
have noticed amazing similarities with another incident
in July concerning a Porche 944 which was
found in
flames at the bottom of Halton embankment just metres
away. The car was said to contain a driver and two
passengers, who |
have yet to be named, although
no bodies were recovered from the site.
The three men were
reported to have been drinking in The Golden Lion
public house at Morton just minutes earlier.

IS
HALTON EMBANKMENT A BLACK SPOT? |
In 1969 a car veered
off in almost exactly the
same place, the driver, John Walters, was never
found, and again in 1973 two local people were
seen leaving The Golden Lion in
|
Morton at 9pm.
Both men were never seen again, the only clue
was their battered vehicle found at the bottom
of the embankment.
